Rob founded AME in 2005 and has focused on the company's successful development and reputation as a high service firm. AME has since grown to include offices in Victoria, Vancouver and Calgary, with over 80 employees. In a career that spans more than 25 years in the industry, Rob's extensive professional portfolio encompasses a broad range of sectors and his specialist expertise in aquatic and recreation centres is unsurpassed in the industry. Rob is committed to sustainable, cost-effective mechanical design and cutting-edge technology.
   
HAROLD STEWART
LEED AP - PRINCIPAL
Harold has over 30 years of industry experience and is involved on a broad range of projects across diverse sectors. His superior knowledge and extensive professional expertise are fundamental to developing key design strategies and solutions, especially when faced with complex construction challenges. Harold is a trusted expert and leader on aquatic, recreational, commercial, civic and institutional projects. He is respected across the industry for his commitment and enthusiasm for innovative mechanical design. 
 
 
MATT YOUNGER
P.ENG., P.E., LEED AP - PRINCIPAL
Matt brings a wealth of experience from Canada and the US. His diligent approach to every project has helped secure a number of key clients and repeat business for AME. His personal and professional commitment to sustainable design has not only resulted in substantial energy reductions and cost-savings for his clients, but has also contributed to a number of award-winning and LEED certified projects. Matt is a proactive and enthusiastic team leader whose diverse experience includes post-secondary, healthcare, civic, institutional and sports facilities.
 
TOM WILSON
P.ENG., LEED AP - PRINCIPAL
With more than 30 years of experience as a mechanical consulting engineer, Tom utilizes his vast technical knowledge to provide timely and innovative solutions to clients. Tom is well-respected for his in-depth expertise and pro-active commitment to providing cost-effective and sustainable solutions. His extensive understanding of buildings and mechanical design, combined with the strength and longevity of his relationships within the industry, has contributed to the significant success of the company.
 
  
AHMET OZATA
P.ENG., LEED AP BD+C - PRINCIPAL
Ahmet has more than 25 years in the industry and spent the early part of his career working in New York and Istanbul. He brings significant international experience to AME and is respected for his excellent track record and in-depth professional expertise on a broad range of projects. Ahmet is a highly-regarded specialist in his field. His leadership and technical knowledge have contributed to the success of many commercial, educational, district energy, healthcare, and recreational projects.  
 

Paula kerr

P.ENG., C.Eng. MIEI - Principal

Paula joined AME's Vancouver office in 2012 bringing six years of mechanical design experience gained on projects in Ireland and the UK. Paula worked on key commercial, institutional and recreational projects around the Lower Mainland before relocating to our Calgary office in 2014 where she continues to play an integral role in developing new business and reinforcing AME's presence across Western Canada. 
 

Greg Tarnopolsky

P.ENG., CEM, LEED AP - PRINCIPAL

Greg joined AME in the spring of 2008 to help develop the company's energy modeling capabilities. Since then he has developed a number of energy models for LEED submissions and energy studies for grant applications such as the BC Hydro High Performance Building Study. Greg is also a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) - the most recognized designation in energy management - which recognizes individuals with proven experience, competence, proficiency and ethical commitment to pursue effective energy management and cost reduction techniques. Greg applies his expertise to projects across the healthcare, education, civic and residential sectors.
 

ZLATKO PULJIC

P.ENG., HBDP, CEM, LEED AP BD+C - PRINCIPAL

Zlatko has extensive experience in the design of complex mechanical systems and energy plants (steam, chilled water, condenser and heating water), including district networks. Zlatko specializes in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection design. He possesses an excellent understanding of the principles of high performance building design, energy efficiency, life-cycle analysis, and cost-effective methods while maintaining high quality design and is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) - the most recognized designation in energy management.
 
ALEX CHOU
P.ENG., LEED AP BD+C - ASSOCIATE
Alex's goal for every project is to surpass the client's expectations by providing innovative, cost-effective and energy-efficient mechanical designs. His diverse experience encompasses commercial, educational, civic, healthcare, residential and recreational facilities. Alex was involved in the design of Canada's first LEED Certified hi-rise residential building and the LEED Gold Olympic Village project in Vancouver. He brings integrity and enthusiasm to each project and inspires a shared vision of sustainability while providing cost-effective strategies to his clients.
 
CASSIDY TAYLOR

P.ENG., LEED AP - ASSOCIATE

Cassidy has been with AME since the company's opening day in 2005. As an Associate he works with clients and dedicated professionals on a variety of complex projects and takes an active role in ensuring each project meets the best of industry standards. Cassidy has worked on projects across all industry sectors including; commercial, retail, residential, recreational, and educational.
 
 

KEVIN SHEA

P.ENG., CPHD, LEED GA - ASSOCIATE

Kevin has spent much of the past decade working on a broad range of projects in Alberta and British Columbia before joining AME in 2014. Kevin is a Certified Passive House Designer and LEED GA who applies his personal interest in leading-edge sustainable technologies to complex projects in the recreational, commercial, educational, institutional and light industrial sectors.

louise smith

P.ENG., LEED AP BD+C - ASSOCIATE

A key team member at AME for over ten years, Louise has designed plumbing, fire protection, HVAC and control systems for a number of facilities across a range of sectors including Education, Institutional, Commercial, Recreational and Residential. Louise is an Approved Energy Modeler for the BC Hydro Power Smart New Construction Program which allows her to offer peer review and supervise energy studies for BC Hydro. Extremely proficient in the LEED submission process and its credit documentation requirements, Louise has played an integral role on a significant number of projects that have achieved various levels of LEED Certification.
 

MIKE VIGNEAULT

C.TECH. - ASSOCIATE

Mike's twenty years in the industry began in 1996 when he embarked on a career with Sterling Engineering Inc. in Calgary. Since then, Mike has acquired significant expertise, specializing in the mechanical design of plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, site services, and refrigeration for a variety of residential, institutional, educational, commercial and industrial projects. Sterling became a wholly owned subsidiary of AME Group in 2014 and, as an Associate, the depth and breadth of Mike's expertise is fundamental to AME's growth in Alberta and across Western Canada.
  
 

RUSSELL BOCK

P.TECH. (ENG.), LEED AP - ASSOCIATE

Russell joined AME's Calgary office in 2015 and has more than ten years of experience in the mechanical engineering industry. Having spent the majority of his career working for AECOM, Russell's extensive expertise encompasses a range of sectors and includes a number of large-scale projects across Alberta, most notably the 2 million sq.ft. International Terminal expansion project at Calgary's international airport.
 

HAMID SAMANI

P.ENG., LEED AP - ASSOCIATE

With a mechanical consulting career that spans more than 25 years, Hamid joined AME's Vancouver office as an Associate in 2016. Hamid's demonstrated expertise in sustainable design, energy compliance and energy modeling, project management, and building mechanical system design has proved integral to the success of significant commercial, educational, healthcare, institutional, industrial, and residential facilities.
