Portfolio | REsidential | 2200 Willow street townhouses
SIXTH and steel
Located at West 6th Avenue and Willow Street in Vancouver, this new residential development consists of two rows of 3-storey townhomes separated by a central linear courtyard accessed from Willow Street. The north building comprises 13 townhouses with front door access directly onto the street. Each home has a private courtyard which provides a quiet and secure outdoor space as well as natural daylight to reduce energy requirements and a means of naturally ventilating the homes without the need for operable windows. The 12 townhouses in the south building are accessed through the central courtyard. A green roof provides both an outdoor space and a desirable aesthetic.
Sustainable mechanical features include high efficiency condensing boilers, low-temperature radiant in-floor heating air-to-air energy recovery.
