The Meadow Park Sports Centre was the recipient of the Vancouver Regional Construction Award of Excellence 2010.
The Mechanical Contractor Award was presented to Keith Plumbing and Heating Ltd. This prestigious award is in recognition of exceptional attention to quality, teamwork, problem solving and innovation on this project. AME are proud to be included in this award and to have had the opportunity to work with such an outstanding team.
AME was the prime consultant as part of this design-build project, and led the mechanical system analysis, optimization and design. The retrofit project included the addition of a ground source heat pump for heating each of the swimming pools, as well as a 15-panel solar array for preheating domestic water for the facility, which contributes to an energy cost savings reduction of over 70%.
