Manulife Office Tower

AME is the mechanical engineering consultant for the new, state-of-the-art $70 million Manulife office tower located on the corner of Howe and Nelson Streets in the heart of downtown Vancouver’s financial district.

The 16-storey building comprises 14 floors of office space, with an average office floor plate area of approximately 16,000 sq.ft., over a street level retail podium, as well as five levels of underground parking. The entire project covers 360,000 sq.ft.

This ultra-modern Class “A” office tower is designed to superior levels of sustainability and has achieved LEED Gold certification. The project’s extensive range of energy efficiency measures includes: rainwater harvesting, maximizing heat recovery from building loads, computer rooms and exhaust air, high efficiency boilers to reduce natural gas consumption, energy-efficient HVAC systems including variable speed pumping and fan systems, magnetic drive bearings for centrifugal chillers and high performance electrical transformers and ozone-friendly refrigerants.
