LOUISE MCKENZIE

P.ENG., LEED AP — ASSOCIATE

Louise graduated from the University of Birmingham with a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering of 2003.  She joined AME as a Design Engineer in July 2006 and was promoted to Associate in 2015.

Louise is responsible for all phases of a project, from initial concept design through to final closeout.  Her experience covers a vast range of sectors, including post-secondary educational facilities, multi-family residential developments, senior’s housing and assisted living facilities, and commercial tenant improvements.

Louise’s responsibilities also include the preparation and organization of the detailed documentation required to support a LEED application for a number of projects.  She is extremely knowledgeable in the LEED submission process and the credit documentation requirements.  She has also completed numerous energy studies for BC Hydro under the Power Smart New Construction Program.

Louise is also actively involved in the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), where she is currently the incoming Regional Vice Chair for Membership Promotion.  In this role, she is responsible for the overall organization of the local chapter, as well as providing mentorship and support to its members.
