The project encompasses approximately 23,600 sq. ft. of laboratory space and 12,000 sq. ft. of office space, totaling 35,600 sq. ft. With a budget of around $6.75 million, the project maintained robust communication via biweekly meetings and separate consultant team working sessions.
Considering the anticipated slab-to-slab height of the new building to be approximately 12ft, the project will utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Revit, with detailed clash detection and a minimum Level of Development (LOD) 300.
AME’s role in this project will be multifaceted. They will develop comprehensive Building Information Models (BIM) to a minimum LOD 300, prepare plans and documents necessary for permitting, tender, and construction, and carry out reviews and inspections during construction, giving approval upon project completion. Additionally, AME will provide consultation and advice on energy efficiency and sustainability and perform energy modelling to ensure compliance with City of Vancouver bylaws and regulations.
