PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

Amica Jubilee House in Victoria, BC, offers 125 suites dedicated to Assisted Living and Memory Care, plus a couple CRUs. Residents enjoy a variety of amenities and services, including chef-prepared meals in a commercial kitchen served in five dining rooms, a bistro, and recreational options like a theatre, salon and spa, games library, and a greenhouse. Designed with comfort and convenience in mind, the facility is equipped with full air conditioning and individual suite controls. Additionally, a commercial laundry is available to deliver high-quality service for all residents.

AME provided Mechanical Design and Building Performance, including energy modelling, to deliver optimal building performance and sustainability. The design incorporates systems that feature heat recovery for both heating and cooling, within the ventilation system. Additionally, a fuel storage and transfer system for an on-site backup generator, for uninterrupted service during emergencies. The backup generator is supported by a tank located in the basement and the generator on the roof.

The Memory Care units are specially designed for safety, featuring tamper-resistant elements and alternative access to plumbing systems, including easy shut-off valve controls. Amica Jubilee House seamlessly combines functional design, sustainability, and compassionate care, creating a supportive environment for those in need of assisted living and memory care services.
