PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

AME extended its expertise in Mechanical Consulting for the design of the new Calgary Opera and Community Centre, set to be a vital addition to Calgary Stampede’s emerging Youth Campus. This campus is designed to offer performance and teaching spaces for the Young Canadians School of Performing Arts and the Calgary Stampede Showband. It encompasses performance and rehearsal spaces, set and costume production facilities, as well as administrative and educational areas.

The systems devised by AME offer significant flexibility, enabling spaces to be utilized in various configurations. Collaborating with Gibbs Gage Architects, AME seamlessly integrated these systems within the building, producing an aesthetically pleasing structure that Calgary Opera can take pride in.

The project adheres to a LEED Gold design standard, ensuring sustainability. The system design considers sustainable energy targets, while also keeping in mind the acoustic and occupant comfort requirements – elements crucial to this facility
