Project Details
This new state-of-the-art healthcare facility includes 16 beds (13 acute care beds, 1 isolation room, 1 palliative care room, 1 labour/delivery/recovery site). Amongst this, the facility boasts dedicated areas for emergency services, diagnostic imaging, logistical services, mental health and addiction facilities and rehabilitation services.
Lake District Hospital and Health Centre also features a laboratory, pharmacy, administrative office space, food services, and a procedure space that is large enough to provide future flexibility for the development of operating room space.
Effective coordination between disciplines and the careful planning of details helped achieve schedule efficiencies that resulted in this fast-tracked project completing five months ahead of schedule, opening to patients in early 2015.
