PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

The Masters Academy Ventilation Upgrades project in Calgary, AB, aimed to improve the building’s HVAC systems to meet new ventilation codes for classrooms. The 32,000 sq.ft. educational facility required extensive modifications to its existing systems to enhance airflow and comfort. The project also included replacing the outdated steam boiler system with high-efficiency hot water boilers, improving energy efficiency and performance.

Despite the smooth progress, challenges arose after the system startup, particularly with cooling on the south side of the building. The project team worked closely with the building owner and contractors to install additional air conditioning and increase outdoor ventilation rates, resolving the overheating issue effectively.

Throughout the project, we coordinated closely with various disciplines, including structural and electrical engineers, overseeing seamless equipment replacement and system modifications. The project’s success can be attributed to effective communication, detailed planning, and a shared commitment to delivering an upgraded ventilation system that met the building’s evolving needs. The project was completed on schedule and on budget, providing Masters
Academy with a state-of-the-art ventilation system that would serve its students and staff for years to come.
