Project Details

The $29.4 million expansion project at Medicine Hat Family Leisure Centre (FLC) has enhanced this family-oriented multi-sport recreational facility into a central community hub.
The expansion includes a new field house with two multi-purpose indoor soccer pitches, a second-floor 200-metre indoor running track and gymnasium, a new recreational NHL-sized ice arena, expanded fitness and wellness areas, additional spectator seating for the existing 50-meter multi-purpose swimming pool, and upgraded administration areas. The facility’s design also incorporates the potential for further expansion.
AME’s scope included HVAC, fire protection and plumbing design associated with the fieldhouse expansion.
The expanded Family Leisure Centre was completed on time and on budget.
