The Promontory at Bayview has 21 floors of luxury living units and was built with sustainable values in mind. Low flow fixtures are in all 177 suites, along with energy-efficient double-glazed windows and sliding doors with thermally broken two-tone aluminum frames.
To maximize the number of floors while assuring the overall building height is non-obtrusive, AME suggested a central heating and cooling plant with individual fan coil units. The fan coil units are ultra slim in design to allow maximum ceiling height within the space. The system consists of high-efficiency boilers and an air-cooled chiller. High-rise design adds further complexity, requiring the building to be broken into multiple pressure zones for all services.
