AME, with Carscadden Stokes McDonald Architects, performed a Life Cycle Assessment Report for the existing Terrace Aquatic Centre in 2012. Upon completion of the report, it was determined that a renewal of both the interior and the exterior of the facility was required.
The $6.6 million renewal includes enhancements to the lap pool, a new leisure and hot pool, a new fitness center, updating of the existing change rooms, and the addition of a new family change room.
The new Leisure pool provides play features and spray toys that enhance the family aspect of this facility.
As part of the renovation, a new filtration plant, chemical treatment systems, and building boiler system has been provided.
