The University of Alberta (UofA) is currently designing 43,000 m2 of buildable area, consisting of a new building construction and renovated existing building area.

The mechanical scope of work includes having the design completed for all central utility requirements, all building central systems, distribution to individual floors and zones on the floor (1200-1500 m2 each). The design also includes termination at the zone level appropriately for future fit out. The shell design includes mechanical services required to keep the building functional as a shell building.

The University has determined that this project will achieve a “green building” through a LEED Silver designation.
