Being named one of BC’s Top Employers matters to us not because of the recognition itself, but because of what it reflects about the place you show up to every day.
Awards like this don’t happen because of policies on paper or perks listed on a website. They happen because of people. Because of how you support one another, challenge one another, and take responsibility for the work and the relationships that surround it. Our culture underpins everything. Long term success, trust, and responsibility all start with how people are treated and how they treat one another.
From a leadership perspective, what makes this recognition meaningful is that it points to the health of our culture. At AME, connection isn’t optional. It’s how we get the work done. Dedication isn’t about long hours, but about care, follow through, and pride in quality. Trust isn’t assumed. It’s earned through consistency, respect, and openness.
We see those values lived out in big moments and small ones. In how teams collaborate across disciplines, in how leaders listen, in how people step in when something’s hard, and step back to make room when others need to lead. Good culture is practical. It’s proven through actions, not statements.
The work AME does is complex and demanding. A strong culture doesn’t remove that reality. It does, however, make it possible to meet it together.
